first impression of my husband

So I am writing this book and my husband and I are side characters in it. I started typing about when the main character-girl meets Chris for the first time and I got a little carried away. I'm not leaving all this in the book, but I did want to document it somewhere. So here it is- a first impression of my husband.

"I turn to see a tall man in boots and Rangers hat pull a gas can out of his pickup bed....Chris looks clean cut, yet somehow rugged at the same time. There’s a confidence in his stride that looks particularly good in his snug jeans. Both his blue eyes and his smile are bright and his voice is warm and welcoming. 'Now that is a man,' I catch myself thinking."

Are you really writing a book? If you are, that's terrific. I love how you describe Chris. It's like a scene from a movie. Kirsten Dunst could play you and Channing Tatum could play Chris. Haha!

Actually, Laura suggested Kirsten Dunst and Channing Tatum (gotta give credit where credit's due). I agreed immediately with Kirsten but I didn't know who Channing Tatum was :( so she told me to look him up, which I did. He does sort of look like Chris, but I don't know if he acts goofy/macho like him. :)

Did Laura see that I plugged her writing in my blog? It's the most recent post.

Yes, I told her and she was happy and flattered that you did. She actually wrote it 2 years ago. I kept a copy of it cause I thought it was so good. I've kept a lot of stuff that Chris and her wrote through the years. I'm such a mom!! But I'm proud of them. I kept an email that you sent Chris on 2/24/09 (which he forwarded to me) telling him how wonderful he was and how proud you were to be his girlfriend. He was so proud of it(and amazed by it) that he wanted me to see it. It's so great. Do you remember this ? - "I hope he puts this on his rack so he can remind himself of how proud of him I am and how proud I am to say I'm his." Good stuff!!!!

Yes! :)!! And he did put it in his rack. It is still there. Before he went out to sea this time, I wrote him another note like it and taped it up there while he was running an errand. So he didn't know I had put it there until he climbed into bed and saw it on the patrol. :) I'm sneaky!
